(“Courion”), a leading provider of door systems for freight elevators. Founded in 1921 and led by Owners and Principals Michael Garner and Bob Jackson, Courion boasts nearly a century of service to the industry and is a “one-stop-shop” for customers’ freight elevator needs. Mr. Garner and Mr. Jackson will remain in their current roles at Courion as part of the transaction.
The Company is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and produces Courion and Security Freight Door Systems, as well as CART-MATIC© and TOTE-MATIC© Cartlift Systems. Courion is also the exclusive provider of Courion, Harris Preble and Guilbert replacement parts. James Varon has been named Vice President of Engineering for all GAL locations, including New York, Quincy, Toronto, and Asia. He will be responsible for all aspects of engineering, such as research & development, new product introductions, and contract engineering.

Varon,57, arrived at GAL in 1980 as a Mechanical Draftsman, designing new and improved elevator door equipment systems. He became Door Equipment Engineering Manager in 1985, then Engineering Manager in 2000, before progressing on to the position of Vice President of Engineering at GAL in 2014.

Field Request Entity
FIELDBOSS Lift 2.5 includes a field request entity that enables technicians to communicate with the head office for all common situations including parts requests, requests for quotes for some new work for a customer, scheduling changes etc.
Version 2.5 adds a variety of new enhancements to automate billing so that it is efficient, on time, and fully complete. It is very flexible and can easily process and adapt to unique billing requirements in bulk without the need to adjust each individual invoice.
FIELDBOSS Lift 2.5 includes time card functionality that is used to automate time entry and job costing while providing seamless integration to payroll. It allows users to efficiently track time and work performed in the field on their mobile device using simple clock in-out buttons and provide real-time tracking of data and a paperless process for billing and payroll.
