Overview:
This interactive 8-hour course is designed to provide an in-depth review of the key changes between the ASME A17.1-2022/CSA B44:22 and ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44:19 elevator and escalator safety codes. This course meets the New York requirement of 2 hours safety, 3 hours technical and 3 hours of code with disciplines overlapping in each segment. Tailored for mechanics and technicians, inspectors, and consultants—including those certified under NEIEP, CET, CAT, and QEI—this course emphasizes how these updates impact inspection procedures and code compliance in the field. This interactive course will focus on discussion and real-world application. To fully benefit from the interactive format, attendees are strongly encouraged to bring both the 2019 and 2022 editions of the ASME A17.1/CSA B44 codebooks to reference during the course.
