Educational opportunities to fulfill the Continuing Education requirement for CAT and CET Certification Renewal as well as state licensing for Mechanics, in most states.
Text & Article Based Continuing Education
On December 31 of each year, CET and CAT Certification expires. In order to renew the certification, individuals must complete the continuing education requirements outlined below.
- Continuing Education – Successfully complete 10 contact hours of NAEC approved continuing education requirements for CAT and CET Certification Renewal as well as state licensing for Mechanics, in most states.
- Safety Course – At least 1 contact hour in safety must be included in the 10 contact hours required for continuing education. Please note that safety hours cannot be rolled over. A maximum of 3 contact hours in safety will be accepted. All safety contact hours in excess of the maximum will not be applied towards CET or CAT certification renewal contact hours. Please note that courses submitted for your previous year’s renewal cannot be taken again and applied towards your current year’s renewal – there must be a least 1 year between completion dates before a repeat course can be given credit again.
