Field Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a newly created position as the result of a growing installation and modernization department, and will provide field support to the existing Field Superintendent. This position will supervise all field crews and activities as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities 1. Supervision of jobsite safety. Perform safety audits and inspections. 2. Initial meeting with GC/Contractor at start of job to review process. 3. Coordinates the logistics of on-site equipment delivery/materials/tools or any other items needed. 4. Directs the Lead Mechanic on the jobsite as needed by providing technical advice and support. 5. Communicate new knowledge to Field Staff. 6. Monitors job progress to make sure hours spent on job are within the time allotted to complete the job. 7. Ensures job is ready for inspection prior to scheduling the inspection. Completes Turnover/Final Acceptance with GC/Owner. 8. Communicate any issues that occur to Project Manager so that the GC/Owner can be informed. Compliance: 1. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Course/Training completion. 2. Familiar with IUEC Labor Standards to ensure compliance. 3. Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and pursues continuing education. 4. Advanced knowledge of Elevator Code to ensure projects done according to current Code standards.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

The Field Supervisor should have a minimum of ten years of hands-on installation and modernization experience. The ideal candidate with have broad experience with a large range of equipment. The Field Supervisor must also possess the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all members of the Gable Elevator Inc team as well as General Contracts, Owners, Vendors, and Customers. The Field Supervisor must be able to identify problems and come up with solutions in order to achieve the desired goal. Minimum Requirements • At least 18 years old • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to pass a drug screen • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle per insurance underwriting standards • Technical knowledge and ability
