Elevator Mechanic

Summary of Responsibilities:

A Louisville, KY, company is looking for a licensed Elevator Mechanic with at least 3 years experience in the installation of equipment in new construction and the modernization of existing equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Acquisition of CET requirements for apprenticeship.
-Perform routine and preventative maintenance on elevators, escalators, material lifts and other equipment.
-Troubleshoot most problems with minimal assistance at job sites.
-Report accurate data back to Service Manager for parts and recommendations for current jobs or more efficient processes.
-Order necessary parts and materials required for service and repair of various types of equipment
-Supervise crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and AET Field Technicians.
-Ensure the safety, reliability and dependability in compliance with our A17 code for elevators and escalators as well as in compliance with OSHA regulations.
-Develop excellent relationships with customers.
-Possess knowledge of safety issues, concerns, or new technology that will improve contracted services.
-Upsell/suggest additional items to improve or modernize equipment being serviced.
-Respond to emergency calls both during normal business hours & after hours for service and/or repair.
-Perform annual testing on lift equipment.
-Pay detailed attention to work orders that are provided by the office for all jobs.
