CAT™ Education Program
The CAT™ Candidate Program is a 2-year education program. Each candidate must have access to a CAT-S to administer the program.

Qualification Requirements for CAT™ Candidates
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Approval of completed Candidate Application.
- Annual fee of $210 NAEC member / $650 non-member (does not include coursework)
- Access to a CAT-S**.
The Program:
CAT™ Education Program consists of 5 courses and will take approximately 2 years to complete. Each course consists of 3 basic parts: text-based workbook, skills verification and online unit exams. The courses can be purchased from Elevator World.
Upon successful completion of the 2-year program the candidate will be required to pass a CAT™ Final Exam. Upon successful completion of all the Unit Exams, all required Skills Verifications, required on-the-job training, and the Final Exam, the candidate will become a CAT™ (Certified Accessibility and Private Residence Lift Technician).
